“Now this is what we call a designer living their values. Famed industrial designer Yves Béhar designed an open concept, four level Pac Heights home on a 3000 sqft lot to house his family and from the looks of it, not much else. To Béhar "the concept of a house—at least for me and my family—is that it’s a place to gather and play”. He certainly honors that notion over and over again throughout the home. There is more open space than anything else here, which while somewhat cold or jarring at first glance, makes perfect sense for the home's use and creator. Also side note, the shelving that spans the back wall of the thumbnail imagine was designed by Béhar to minimize sun fading to their collection of books. As a team with a host of valuable design books slowly losing their luster to the harsh SoCal sun, we think this is absolutely brilliant.”
