“Folk horror film from 2018, inspired by monster flicks from the 80s. The story of how the making of this film is crazy - they wrote the script in 1998, shot over a 6 year period and would actually wait for rain to fall to begin shooting (and would then have to reset as the rain would stop). The IMDb trivia is fun to go through AFTER you see the movie. The music by Jesper Kyd (did the music for the Assassin’s Creed games among many others) is haunting. Production design? Disgustingly awesome. Script? Really really good. Go in blind and you will not be disappointed. It’s on my Top 4 on Letterboxd for a reason.”
