This came out when I was 10 and my mom forbade me from watching it. I was older than the characters were as girls when I finally got to watch it. I felt left out. Now I can watch it whenever I want because I am, yet again, older than the characters as adults.

“With the benefit of hindsight, I realise I was so obsessed with this movie as a kid because I was a raging queer, and also as a kid, I was told I looked like Christina Ricci, so obviously that made me love it even more. GIRLHOOD!!!”
