Bones

“DAY 26 25 years ago (to the day), Bones was released. Like Dracula 2000, it feels like a millenium movie and, while it feels of the era, it holds up as a fun, stylistic, unique horror story. A revenge tale, a love story, a love song to the blaxploitation film era, has an excellent soundtrack, and there's a certain bug scene that will make your skin crawl forever! I dare you to sit still while watching it! It's back to back movie recs from Ernest Dickerson, a director and former cinematographer, whose love of the horror genre shines through with each movie and TV episode he helms*. (*Dickerson directed episodes of many horror-centric shows like Masters of Horror, The Walking Dead, The Purge, Dexter, The Vampire Diaries, and Under the Dome, just to name a few.)”
