Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

“DAY 24 This is such an effective adaptation of the Alvin Schwartz nightmare fuel that is the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark book series. The characters resemble the eerie illustrations created by Stephen Gammell and the main story works the book's creepiest parts so well! I had the pleasure of watching this in a theater full of teenagers and, boy, did I have a blast! All the shrieks and laughs shared in unison (including those of my three kids) is a memory I'll never forget. It is a 2019 PG-13 horror movie that deserves a space in your Halloween movie rotation and, with a Guillermo Del Toro-produced stamp of approval, how could it not? ;)”
