“LGBTQreads.com can help you find exactly what you're looking for in terms of mood/pace/genre! Some of my favorites, below:
Do you want: complicated family dynamics, taxidermy, and disaster sapphics in Florida? Mostly Dead Things by Kristen Arnett.
Do you want: operatic space magic with generational trauma and disaster sapphics in a sprawling science fiction setting with magic? 'The Locked Tomb' series by Tasmyn Muir.
Do you want: queer polycules, anticapitalism, delightfully weaponized pronouns, and sarcastic robots? 'The Murderbot Diaries' by Martha Wells.
Do you want: a sweet romance series full of interesting and layered female characters falling in love? 'Bright Falls' by Ashley Herring Blake.
Do you want: a sports love story that ISN'T the big famous one and involves figuring out when you actually prefer the here-and-now to what you thought was your dream? The Prospects by KT Hoffman.”
