Ecosia

“While switching your web browser might not CHANGE THE WORLD, it will at least stop a little bit of money finding its way to the coffers of a PAC you don’t want to support. As a big bonus, Ecosia plants a tree every time you search for something. That’s a lot of trees! Forests are being reforested! 🌲 It’s a small switch that doesn’t impact your daily life much and it might actually do some good. Why not switch?”

“a search engine that uses 100% of ad revenue to plant trees, fund renewable energy and protect biodiversity? transparent enough to share financial reports in an obvious place on their homepage? lets you opt out of AI by unchecking a single box? using ecosia has the same energy as kinetic pavement. it’s part of your environment and you have to walk on it every day, might as well plant millions of trees while you look up which saint is the one holding her own eyes on a plate (it’s st. lucia)”

“Not designed specifically for your purposes BUT the browser Ecosia is purportedly good for the environment and the results page seems to be less busy!”
