“DAY 13 If you end up watching this one, boy, are you in for a treat! Brian Cox is the local medical examiner in a suburb-type area and he calls on his son (played by Emile Hirsch) to help assistant him on a fresh homicide case. The corpse is a Jane Doe and the experienced duo soon find themselves in over their heads when they suspect their pulseless patient is unlike any case they've handled before. Taking place during the course of an evening, this ghoulish goodie is meticulously paced and a truly unique piece of cinema. Director Andre Øvredal (known for genre hits Trollhunter and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark) has created something special and spooky, ideal for a cool, autumn night in...preferably with company unless you're a bit of a sadist (no judgement here;). (Currently free on The Roku Channel).”
