Esmé Glider Chair

“My major source of baby prep tsuris (on a purely capitalist level lol) was the glider chair. I’ve worked hard to create a space where every object feels like a chunk of my soul has been upholstered, so the idea of living with some boucle treacle headed straight for a landfill felt wrong! They’re also giant and our house is not- we are in the dollhouse I built while still single, which had exactly enough room for a girl and a pig and her troubles. Like the formula dispenser, I wondered if we really needed it. Can’t you just sort of swivel and glide your body?  But, much like the Baby Brezza, I had not properly anticipated the bone deep fatigue that sets in when you’re rocking and walking and warbling at an hour you used to be, at most, reading The Dailymail with a Zyn in your cheek. And some of our sweetest times have been spent in this glider, which not only soothes her nervous system but mine. When I came upon this particular glider- and the promise of canary yellow velvet, more Colleen Allen coat vibes than Babyletto vibes (no shade to Babyletto, they’ve cornered a market!) I knew I’d met my match. And now I’ll be gliding long past the time she cares about it anymore.”
