Homemade Vanilla Extract as Favors

“Vanilla extract as wedding favors: As far ahead as possible (I had 14 months), buy bottles of good-but-not-crazy vodka. Pour a little out, and add 10-12 split vanilla beans to each. Put the caps back on, and move your vodka bottles to the back of a closet; forget about them. Close to the wedding, buy little bottles in bulk. You can also make your own labels online, if you want.”
