bellaFirst to rec
“There's an app already in your Apple computer called Automator and it will make your digital life a little easier and neater. I use it to sort files. I have a problem where I take screenshots, use them for what I need, then forget about them and it becomes an endless scroll of Things that clog up my computer. My automation moves all screenshots into a folder that gets dumped into the trash every week. Open the automator app > new folder action > filter finder items (i use "name > begins with > Screenshot") > move finder items to [make a folder] and voila). You can change a lot of variables and run a lot of tasks - it's fun to play around with and definitely helps keep a nice organized workspace. Even the very screenshot I used as an image for this rec has been corralled to the folder.”
