Museo del Jamón Carrera de San Jerónimo:

My now-husband and I loved this place so much that we seriously considered getting married there lol.

Stand around and drink tiny cold beers and eat ham!

There are several locations in the core but this one was our fav <3

Chuletón de Tomate at Celso y Manolo: This is a double win. Go to Celso y Manolo and eat the whole menu for me please!

Museo Lazaro Galdiano: Probably one of my favorite museums- it’s in Lazaro’s own house & holds his very eclectic collection of paintings, armory, fabrics, and coins. A really special experience!

Museo Del Jamon -> Parque Del Retiro -> Museo Del Jamon -> La Coquette Blues Bar ->Plaza de Oriente: You can’t go wrong in Madrid. But here’s a perfect day: Museo Del Jamón in the early afternoon for a jamón croissant and a caña (or two!). Walk over to Parque Del retiro and explore. Find a shady spot to post up and flag someone down who’s selling wine out of a backpack. Make your way back to Museo Del Jamón to fuel up for your walk to La Coquette - it’s a bit of a trek, but walking is the move if you’re up for it. From there stop an any jamonería you pass on your way to Plaza De Oriente; let the cortador pick your meat for you, grab a beverage to go and enjoy in the plaza.

eseOese: Madrid has REALLY fun shopping. Spaniards like funky sophisticated pops of color. This is one spot I particularly like, and the area around it is full of lots of boutiques (as well as some chains, but they don’t detract from the vibe).
