Double LP of Sade including hits "Your Love is King", "Smooth operator", "The Sweetest Taboo", "Never as Good as the First Time", "Paradise", "No Ordinary Love", "Like a Tattoo", "Please Send Me Someone to Love", and "Cherish the Day".
just a really solid collection of unique titles at a reasonable price point. i stop in whenever i'm on the west side.
I worked here for years and it holds a special place in my heart. A cozy buy and sell record shop in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood. Unmatched vibes and obscure finds. It also has great coffee that is an original blend and roasted locally (their cold brew is still one of my favorites). AND a selection of antiques! You can even order their coffee online if you'd like to give it a try but can't make it to the shop. The hand stamped bag will look cute in your cupboard.
Killer album from Japanese Breakfast. The current track on repeat is "Kokomo, Indiana". Mellow, dreamy, makes me miss Hawaii but then again everything does 😫 Japanese Breakfast's Jubilee. Check it out 😁
Melbourne's last video rental store open since 1983! Set over three levels with over 35,000+ DVD, Blu-ray & VHS available for hire. More about Picture Search and its owner Derek here.
Truly nothing cozier than this record crackling in the background during the holiday season!
You could buy this album just for the song "Blue Sky" and it would be worth it because 1) "Blue Sky" is one of the most beautiful songs you'll ever hear and 2) You'd be stoked to hear the rest of the album rocks!
Plan on spending at least an hour or two wandering room to room finding things you half-remember and thought you might never hear again and things you never even imagine existed; there are something like a million records here to browse.
Inspired independent record store in the coolest midwestern town there is. I walked in a Wilco fan at age 12 and walked out with a CD of every alt country album from the 2000s. Life changing, which I remind the OG staff of whenever I’m in for a visit. Also cats roaming around…I guess that’s my brand.
Ok, this double LP is so killer. I had been procrastinating on buying this, it ended up selling out everywhere I checked but I managed to snag a copy off of Plaid Room Records. Get on Down Records is another great place to look for hip-hop, rap, and r&b on vinyl. Here are the killer tracks on this bomb ass double LP: A1 More Bounce To The Ounce A2 Be Alright A3 I Heard It Through The Grapevine A4 So Ruff, So Tuff B1 Do It Roger B2 Dance Floor B3 Doo Wa Ditty (Blow That Thing) B4 I Can Make You Dance B5 Heartbreaker (Part I, Part II) C1 In The Mix C2 Midnight Hour - Live '93 (Remix) C3 Computer Love C4 Night And Day '93 (Remix) D1 I Want To Be Your Man D2 Curiosity '93 (Remix) D3 Slow And Easy D4 Mega Medley Play "Doo Wa Ditty" at your next get together, you'll know who your real friends are. It is a mood enhancer!
The cutest way to display vinyl on your walls.
I picked up this record on a whim and it might have been the best random buy because since then, it’s been my soundtrack for most of my dinner prep and background music. Cheers!
Do you ever want to intentionally listen to one of your favorite albums on vinyl and the best speakers with a group of people in a very cool cozy room? Bring your partner or your friend or your dad.
Music experts - NYC record shop. I made a mix for them a long time ago and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t very good…but I have listened to so much good music thanks to them.
I’ve loved this album for years and it still manages to make me cry. I preordered this vinyl and just got it in the mail, the only vinyl I’ve ever ordered online. The experience feels intimate, listening to the bits of Connie talking between tracks, feeling like I know women so similar to her, and singing along off-key imagining the kitchen she was sitting in while recording. How Sad, How Lovely indeed.
The album art had me sold. Great living room music for plants and humans alike. “Swingin’ Spathiphyllums” is my favorite of the bunch. Available on vinyl 🌱
Specifically the limited edition, clear winchester pressing
Ours is The Concert in Central Park by Simon and Garfunkel. We play it at least three or four nights a week to the point where we casually call out Simon and Garfunkel's commentary in between songs.
If you experienced this album coming out when you were in grade school as a world-shifting DNA-reorganizing self-definition causing capital E event, then you are my bitch. And while it’s never been forgotten, there is no better way to give Alanis her flowers than to tenderly place this vinyl on your turntable and perform the entire track list to your pillows and blankets.
In an old mill building in Florence, only open on weekends, the sandwich board outside entices you with promises of "WEIRD RECORDS WEIRD BOOKS." Inside, it's full of intriguing psychedelic and experimental vinyl, decorated with weird art. It's a record store AND a record label. They occasionally have shows. It's become one of my favorite spots in town to discover new music.
