A map of the designated Great Trees of NYC!! I love the Great Trees. And when you see one in person it really clicks like… yes this is a Great Tree. Personal favs are the weeping willow on Gerritson Ave by marine park, and the ginkgo in bedstuy in front of a 19th century mansion (which originally provided aid to those escaping slavery via the Underground Railroad!) there’s so much important history behind these trees beyond them being beautiful. If you’re in nyc check the map — there might just be a Great Tree near you! 🌲🌳
