Sharon Salzberg. Period. I found her through her book Real Love and have since read three more of her books, and fully intend to work my way through everything she’s ever written. I’m also making my way through her nearly 300-episode podcast library. She introduced me to Buddhism and I’m very much still a fledgling Buddhist, but Sharon's work has shaped so much of the way I understand love, suffering, compassion, and my own mind.

Possibly the single best purchase I’ve made in 33 years of life, and it was under $100. I turn it on before I do my skincare, then crawl directly into a toasty warm bed. No cranking the heat all night, no waking up dehydrated. I cannot overstate how much this stupid thing has improved my quality of life.

I add this to a HOT bath whenever I’m sick or feel something coming on. I'll fall asleep the second my head hits the pillow and wake up either feeling better or at least convinced I feel better. That's basically the same thing, right?
