WORK by Herb Ritts

I was fortunate to go to a high school that had a darkroom, and analog photography became a passion of mine. Our teacher had a huge collection of Herb Ritts books in the classroom (which I’m guessing the school administration did not know about). The combination of technical mastery and the queerness of his work resonated deeply within me. His music videos were also extraordinary. He accomplished so much in his short life, but it’s upsetting to think about what was left undone.
