Canon Sure Shot WP-1 Weatherproof Film Camera
•••
Perfect camera for bringing on a camping trip! It can get dirty and wet, so I don’t have to be super precious with it. I’ve had it for over a decade and it’s been good to me.

Prep and bake food at home
•••
I love to cook, but I don’t like to pack, prep, and clean up when I’m camping. So I bake things ahead of time (muffins and cookies) and prep ingredients (veggies and herbs) to cook with. This way meals are quicker with less cleanup. I also find that prepped ingredients can pack easier too.

Bug wipes instead of spray
•••
These wipes are easy to store with your gear, keep away the bugs, and are easy to apply. So much easier than a spray!

Wear a camping scarf
•••
Over a decade ago I started wearing a small cotton kerchief every time I went camping. It’s the best! Add some color to your dirty camp outfit, keep your neck covered for sun/bugs, feel a little cute, use it to signal to yourself that you’re camping and all is well! I usually wear an old ripped Block Shop scarf, but any cotton kerchief will do!

String lights for inside the tent
•••
It makes getting into bed feel extra magical, and gives a warm-not-too-bright glow. Grab some battery operated ones and throw them into your camping box!

Double sleeping bag for you and your snuggly child
•••
My daughter and I have been snuggling in a double sleeping bag for 3 years and going strong. Extra snuggles and warmth, plus the comfort of knowing she’s warm enough on the colder nights.

Toast at the campsite!
•••
This seemed very silly to purchase, but it actually works! Toast your bagels, English muffins, bread, etc. It was a big hit on our preschool camping trip.
