Il Covo Del Pirata in Cefalu: Ask to sit on the balcony or by a window. 
Any of their seafood pastas are great. If they have the fried calamaretti, get them! They’re tiny fried squid, basically like eating popcorn. So good!

Libreria Easyreader: deceptively NOT a bookstore! an incredible thrift shop in palermo with excellent vibes, really gives “local cool kids shop here”. we stumbled upon it and spent at least an hour shopping around. they have an excellent selection of denim and accessories

Ceramiche Perrone: If you can make your way to Trapani, Sicily, this ceramics store is incredible. I bought a couple handmade miniature foods when I was visiting years ago and the father/son duo who ran it (if memory serves) told me that more would be ready in the afternoon, if I could come back.

Palazzo Abatellis: I have adored Antonello da Messina’s Virgin Annunciate ever since taking Italian Renaissance art history senior year of college, and seeing it in real life was remarkable. The whole museum is astonishing, to be honest. Absolutely top of the list for me for Palermo.
