So a dear person in my life needed (deserved!) some flowers. I tried a place, it was pricey but local. The delivery got missed and they didn't have the thing I ordered...instead of feeling like a thoughtless jerk tada! DoorDash. I add their address, Kroger florists got there in 23 mins. In case of an almost forgotten birthday, flower necessity moment, etc.

Registry gift, always! But for any event where the celebrated is opening something, I have started bringing a book to offer a mental escape + a notebook to get thoughts down. A mini distraction from over thinking the best times of your life :)

maybe not the most cool. But I've had things for over a decade, that wash+travel for conferences great, and always are the appropriate length/coverage.
