Check it out with your public library. It's a streaming service that's free with a ton of global movies, shows, etc. I love it!

I loooove Boy Meets World. Obviously the earlier seasons are a bit more precious.

I don't know why this movie jumped out to me reading this request. It doesn't even answer the question squarely, but I think it really turns the question of victimization on its head in a thought-provoking way.

The Plane Sequence in All That Jazz

Meaning, the 3 to 5 minute number about halfway through the film about flying on a plane. I love looking at different dancers every time I watch the scene.

Broad City!

It is still so, so good, I love it so much. If you haven't seen it, it's very silly and funny, and makes you want to be your most authentic self in the world knowing that one day you may find someone that appreciates that version of you 110%.

Learning to do my make-up via Youtube tutorials.
•••
I've always had the idea that because my mom didn't teach me to do makeup, that I have to hold a grudge against her for my own stunted beauty knowledge, but we're in an era of so much DIY learning that you have to be stubborn not to see it. Since May I've been teaching myself to do my make-up via Youtube tutorials, and I've loved every second of it. I love starting my day by listening to a podcast or music and just playing with the products I have. It feels like ME time, and makes me so happy. I love seeing my progression, and trying new techniques. It's also changed my relationship to beauty - I used to quietly judge people that were into doing their makeup, but now it's become something to bond with other women over, and learn one another's secrets. I love that.

"Armand"

I imagine this movie was a bit controversial when it came out, but I adored the premise. The ending was also tragic when one realizes that the power of an accusation is enough to ruin anyone, even a child, whether that accusation is powered by truth, or vendetta.

"Pressure"

I'm generally a sucker for a lot of WW2 media, but a few things stood out about this movie. I've never seen a depiction of Eisenhower in film, and really loved it. I also thought that the screenwriting was so effective - this is a capsule film that basically takes place over 48 hours and centers on a weather forecast, which doesn't seem very dramatic, but it is, and has everything to do with global history.
