Germany/ Allgäu Mattlihüs

It's crunchy organic, and located in the bottom part of the downhill skiing slope. Which means in Winter they get you by sledge from the parking area. It's built completely from Swiss Pine, cut at certain moon phase. I am not kidding you- it's suppose to calm you down. You smell the wood throughout the stay, it's awesome. [Friend of mine told me that the used that wood in all bars in Vorarlberg.]

Anyway- I found this place bc my family wanted to see a castle. And I am still snickering bc I was like "A CASTLE????". OK, you will get THE castle. THE castle is a 45 min drive away. Until we reached THE castle they had no clue where we were going. Of course, THE castle is overrun by tourists. While this Hotel is not. You can stay there without visiting THE castle. Your kid can finally learn skiing while you just stay calm inside the hotel. And enjoy the view.
