I work from home. Every 20 minutes, I LookAway from my Mac. I stand up and do 10 squats or 5 pushups or a downward dog. Every fourth break is longer. In those I do 3 sets of my physical therapy. Or I make a tea. Or I just walk around the apartment and look away, out every window. This app seamlessly helps me do all of it. It’s highly configurable—how many breaks, how long, what it prompts me to do. It’s also context aware. It won’t bug me during meetings or calls. It will hold off until I’m done typing. I’ve tried tools like this before, but they often ended up annoying me with their good intentions. This one is so thoughtful and so meticulously designed that I’ve been using it nonstop for ages. Worth every penny.

Low Expectations

A simple and beautiful film about burnout, starting over, and just figuring out life. I often struggle to find movies that feel small and real and touching. Movies that linger with me quietly in the way that Aftersun did. But this one has. Beyond that, it lovingly captures Oslo and is led by Marie Ulven, aka Girl in Red.
