The Jazz Gallery
•••
There’s no shortage of places to see live jazz in New York City, as one of the epicenters for the genre. This locale offers an intimate, pared-down, come-as-you-are-but-leave-elevated experience. If the drums aren’t enough to hook you (before you can imagine the finger dance necessary for the playful piano rhythm), give it a few more seconds. If you’re somehow still not there, let the saxophone flow through you like cream poured into coffee.
