I. Love. This show. I'm not sure what it is about mother-daughter stories that get me. (Gilmore Girls is obviously like oxygen at this point.) I think because, in your late 20s and early 30s you are close enough in age and experience of both the mother and teenage daughter. You can empathize with it all. You'll laugh and you'll cry and you'll feel like a girl in all the ways a girl can feel.

Big Edie and Little Edie were the aunt and cousin of Jackie O. This movie captures simple moments of their life in their dilapidated East Hamptons house in 1975. Supposedly the style of the film paved the way for modern reality tv.
