Obviously I have to support my fellow brown curly haired gay guys. Cheers to you, Troye Sivan! My friend got this scent in candle form (which smells amazing) and it came with a sample of the perfume and I’ve been loving it. Here is how troye describes it: “Warmth, spice, herbaceousness culminate in calm yet sophisticated quiet. FEEL—smooth velvet, worn wooden furnishings, close heat, crisp forest air.“ Sure troye! Whatever that means! I’ll roll with it! Actually I’d probably recommend the whole brand - I’ve smelt Pool, Sages Rose and By Your Side and they all smell great tbh. I’m usually weary of celebrity fragrances but troye did it all quite tastefully in my opinion.

ERL Sunscreen perfume - Commes Des Garçons

I buy a bottle of this anytime I see one because it’s hard to find in North America. This scent is my absolute fav and realllyyyy oozes some sort of summer day nostalgia. It doesn’t smell like sunscreen as much as it smells like a lazy day in California, salt on your skin, sun in your eyes. It’s hard to explain so here are the notes lol: Top notes: bergamot oil, solar accord. Middle notes: lily of the valley, heliotrope, peach. Dry down notes: musk, cedarwood oil, coconut accord. I was wearing this during one of my first trips to LA & now when I splash it on I am transported back to that time, sun beating down on me while waiting for my perfect little breakfast at Valerie in Echo Park. MARGIN Skin Care

I’ve tried every product from MARGIN, which is lux yet affordable skin care brand from Toronto! I started with the deodorants (which are aluminum and baking soda free), which I couldn’t recommend more! Garden Leave & Verdian are my favorite deodorants. I love the Warm Water scent but for some reason it didn’t work well with my underarms (burned a little lol). The moisturizer is top-tier if you can handle active ingredients well! The fragrances are perfect companions to the deodorants and are affordable, travel-sized life savers. My go-tos are Warm Water for fall/winter & Garden Leave for the spring/summer. I would say the scents are pretty genderless & more connect with what your tastes are rather than having a strong masculinity or femininity to them. I just woke up so I’m having trouble really adding some sauce to my sales pitch but definitely check out MARGIN!
