I can't wait to try Farm Dinner LA, I'm already in love with the concept: upon arrival, we will pick our own produce at the farm. We'll learn about the family who owns the farm and their specific farming practices, and sit down for a 5-course family style feast. After the meal, we'll be treated to a sound bath or guided meditation with music.

Sierra Club’s Legendary Evening Hikes

This was one of the best experiences I've had in LA in the past two years: an evening hike with the Sierra Club. Well organized and populated, we met at 7 after sundown and headed towards the griffith park canyon fire trail while the coyotes wailed in the near distance. I kept wondering to myself, "but why at night?". My question is immediately answered upon the first ascent into the mountain. The only thing that would have made it better is if we told each other scary stories at the top of the hill. But no one brought a flashlight to prop under our chin for horror effect.

I've been wanting to do a workshop here ever since I saw that Devandra Banhart and his illustriously gorgeous lady friend Gia did a Foundry Metal Casting class, and sang it's high praises.
