Sara Watkins/Under The Pepper Tree: So beautiful and calming!

Susanita · Answer

The kids show Yo Gabba Gabba featured artists like Mark Mothersbaugh (for drawing lessons), Jack Black, The Submarines and other great indie bands that will make a Xenniall heart happy. DJ Lance and friends' songs are also awesome and fun. We still launch into them at random moments. Also seconding They Might Be Giants "Here Come the ABCs". It's perfect.

Barenaked Ladies - Snack Time!: OK, admittedly you might not want to have to explain the band name to a toddler, but the album is very good and often hilarious.

The Okee Dokee Brothers - Can You Canoe?: Besides They Might Be Giants, we also really liked the Okee Dokee Brothers when our kids were younger. They're teenagers now, so I don't altogether remember which albums were best, but besides Can You Canoe?, we also had Thousand Star Hotel, Saddle Up, and Take It Outside.

jmd · Answer

They Might Be Giants - Here Come the 123s: This and Here Comes Science are terrific. Our older son went through a phase of being particularly obsessed with "High Five" off the 123s album. (We also had No! and Here Come the ABCs in rotation, which are worth checking out but IMO not as good as 123s and Science.)
