Lemon zest in the freezer

Any time I need just the juice of a lemon I peel the zest with a veg peeler and throw the zest in my big lemon zest freezer bag. Easy to grab and chop for a sauce or salad or dip or if I’m out of lemons and need that flavor. I’ve always wondered if there was a way to save lemon zest (i thought maybe dehydrating) but this is way easier - excited to try it!
