Grill The Grid (2025 Season)
•••
i think one of my favorite things about f1 is that you see so much of the drivers' personalities and quirks. grill the grid is a silly interview series featuring all the drivers and you can def tell some drivers are OVER it, but i personally love it. def a good watch to get to know the drivers

the twitter (no i'm not calling it x) community for f1 fans. great memes, fun commentary, and just generally a place on the internet to get into and have community with. PLUS you can see goog's iconic post race artwork <3 some of my favorite follows (that are mostly verstappen accounts lol): https://x.com/SCUDERIAFEMBOY https://x.com/63grussell63 https://x.com/44britcedes https://x.com/leclercize https://x.com/sog_goog https://x.com/adfreebrowsing

F1 The Movie
$7

1. fuck brad pitt 2. i know i'm going to get a lot of flack from diehard f1 fans for including this on the list, BUT it is arguably just a good sports movie. produced by THEE lewis hamilton, it's fun to see the real drivers be included. not true to the actual rules/driving/strategy at all

i love love love face and the way she breaks down f1 beyond just the technical and race results. her writing is so engaging and she writes about the culture around f1, as well as the driver arcs, so well. subscribe!!!

F1 TV Archive: Brazil 2008 Extended Race Highlights
•••
arguably one of the most dramatic races in f1 history... no spoilers (even if it is from 2008 lol), but you will go through so many highs and lows watching this championship decider race

Devyani (F1 Content Creator)
•••
i LOOOOVE devyani's breakdowns of f1 lore—she's so knowledgable about the sport and speaks so eloquently about moments that you might have otherwise missed. she does a lot of f1 roman empire content that i adore and just does a fantastic job of highlighting the heart of f1 ie. brocedes, the rise and fall of danny ric, teenage verstappen terrorizing men in their 30s

2021 Season: Hamilton vs Verstappen
•••
i have rewatched this season (thank you f1tv for your archival footage) at least three times. the two greatest modern drivers battling for the championship and it's neck to neck almost every single race. so many dramatic moments—including verstappen's car going on top of hamilton's HEAD—including the most controversial championship deciding race in history. to this day, abu dhabi 2021 is still a topic of debate

Formula 1: Drive to Survive
•••
CONTROVERSIAL but i think drive to survive is a great introduction into f1 & it definitely boosted its popularity in america. keep in mind that everything is highly, highly edited and a lot of the drivers (verstappen especially) have protested the docuseries because of the way they're portrayed definitely a 'reality show' edit to f1. if you don't know anything about f1, i'd watch the first season (danny ric, my f1 roman empire) to get the basics and then watch it alongside the races. you do get some hilarious bts and commentary from the team principals and drivers

Sao Paulo Grand Prix 2024
•••
i am so deeply based as a max verstappen truther, but one of the greatest races in recent history. pouring rain in brazil, verstappen starting in 17th, and (spoiler alert) fighting his way to victory. the commentary on this is one of my faves and arguably a perfect drive by the red bull driver

one of the greatest f1 drivers. imo, drivers (not teams) are the heart of this sport & this is a super touching documentary about a racing legend

1: Life on the Limit
•••
a documentary (narrated by michael fassbender) walking through f1's time capsules — a really solid and interesting watch! i rarely watch documentaries, but this one was pretty engaging and i learned a lot about f1's history that definitely made me fall more in love with the sport
