My gel soulmate. I use it in the shower after leave in conditioner or hair balm, add it to SOPPING WET hair, and it helps curls stay cool, prevents unwanted frizz, and extends the lifespan between washes. (I really notice a difference here when I use any other gel.) I don’t know why it’s so good, but it is.

One in the shower, one in my travel kit, one in my swim bag. They detangle without pulling out your hair! I won’t get my hair wet unless I have one around. (Sorry for Amazon link! I’ve also found similar brushes at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx)

Takes a minute to learn to use properly, (I wish they said on the bottle to have your hair SOPPING wet before using, and then to WAIT two minutes before trying to detangle) but once you do, nothing else will do for curly hair.
