Cute, very low lift game where you build habitats to attract pokemon and beautify the towns they live in. Played it constantly when I was recently sick. Mindless enough to do while listening to a podcast or audiobook, but plenty to do to keep you coming back

nothing like sitting down with a good puzzle and all of a sudden two hours have gone by! I love Laurence King’s “The World of…” literary puzzles, which are so fun and satisfying to complete. next up for me is “The World of King Arthur.”

Simply enjoy its contents, no output required. It makes one feel very lady-at-her-leisure. Works great with coffee table books too.

Plant Parenting

I told myself last year that I really wanted to figure out how to care for plants, and I began gradually getting more and more plants. It’s such a peaceful hobby because it connects me to nature and I get the satisfaction of seeing my plants grow and thrive.

Fitness trend: Nordic walking (Harvard Health)

I like Nordic walking around our local trail. It's a low-energy full body workout and the walking sticks are handy around rocky inclines. You can find some decently priced walking sticks online :)

Audiobooks
•••
This is very low energy (bc energy is my most precious resource these days), but audiobooks have been saving my life lately. It took me a while to get used to them, and the whole thing is very narrator-dependent, and it’s not the same experience as reading with my eyes, but it is truly a gift to have a stranger read you a story. This is my favorite app for audiobook purchases (non-Amazon) and then of course there’s Libby for free ones from the library.

A very fun, surprisingly difficult card game that's all about noticing stuff. My seven-year-old went through a whole arc with it a few months ago.
