Totally beautiful and blissful and away from the sea (ha!) of overwater bungalows on Bora Bora, plus the absolutely most fun and spectacular (and effortless) drift snorkel spot right off the pool area. We only stayed 24 hours before heading off on a sailing trip but it would be an amazing choice for a honeymoon.

I bookmarked this years ago after seeing a picture of this bathroom! Finally got to stay here in 2024 (we booked ahead during a Black Friday sale to get a decent promo rate on the water villa). Absolutely stunning room with an incredible private pool nestled in the boulders over the ocean, and an amazing sunset view from your deck. Wonderful Vietnamese breakfast, and a beautiful spa. A great indulgence.

We actually stayed in their less-luxurious sister hotel which has since closed. But it was a fantastic experience with great food and hospitality so I will still recommend this location.

We stayed here on our “third date” trip to Morocco. Not sure if it is still the case, but there was no electricity at night, and the whole hotel was lit with candles which was beautiful along with the maximalist Moroccan interiors and incredible mountain views.

One of the all-time great hotel views, pay extra for the Mountain View room if you can (but otherwise you can enjoy the view from the restaurant/bar, the terrace area, the indoor pool, the hot tub, or the lawn). Great base for some amazing day hikes (Truso Valley, Gergeti Glacier).

I don’t usually go for a Four Seasons-style experience in a foreign city, but after roughing it for a few weeks in Uzbekistan & Turkmenistan, staying here was a dream (and it’s maybe the world’s cheapest Four Seasons?). Gorgeous spa facilities overlooking the Caspian Sea, and super kind staff.

The house is filled with beautiful art and antiques, and eating breakfast on the terrace or the garden looking at the mountains is wonderful. The highlight is the unusual pool (made from an old concrete water tank, and super deep, spring fed), another guest described it as like swimming in Pellegrino.

Beautiful setting in the paddy fields, I’d recommend staying in Siem Reap a couple of nights to visit the temples, then adding a couple of nights here to relax by the gorgeous pool.

Staff were so kind and welcoming, they upgraded us to a gorgeous suite, and set out a hilariously elaborate breakfast buffet despite us apparently being the only guests in the hotel (we were on a low season stopover en route from Cabo Verde)
