Champion Trees: A Duck's Water Off My Back
•••
Every so often you stumble across an album that seems to arrive before you have the words for what you’re feeling. A Duck’s Water Off My Back by Champion Trees has become that record for me. It’s quietly making its way into every emotional corner I’ve been trying to avoid—not with force, but with patience. There’s something about its restraint, its tenderness and the space it leaves between notes that feels less like listening and more like remembering. It’s the kind of music that doesn’t ask you to confront anything; it simply sits beside you until you’re ready. Beautiful, devastating and somehow comforting all at once. Exactly the album I didn’t know I needed.
