Snuggie - The Original Blanket with Sleeves: My laziest Halloween costume ever. I was pregnant and just wanted to wear sweatpants. I bought a Snuggie and I was the lady from the Sunggie ad -- I walked around with a mug and a TV remote the whole night... and I was very comfortable.

yin & yang costume for 2: Ok my now husband and I did this years ago the laziest possible way - one dressed in all white, one dressed in all black & we put big cutout dots of opposite colors on each other. But the big cardboard cutout yin yangs that fit like a puzzle turn out great, if you have the time & energy!

A bag of trash Halloween Costume: My child came up with this one.  You poke leg holes through the bottom of the bag and arm holes through the sides.  Use another bag for candy.  Optional: add crumpled paper etc. to the top of the bag and or a stuffed raccoon.

Bride of Frankenstein Hair: I did this one year at the library and it was fairly effortless!

Empty carton of Greek yogurt, some light shade foundation, dark lipstick, white strip of ribbon or fabric, and I wore a bridal sash that said The Bride from the Walmart party aisle, regular clothes.

Had a bit of a hair headache later but it was totally worth it. Might repeat it this year.

Solo Halloween Costume: IKEA employee: Hej! The perfect last minute costume. Saftey pin a piece of paper with "Hej!" to the back of a yellow shirt in blue marker and smaller one to the front that reads IKEA. Sub five minutes and sub $5. People loved it way more than it deserved.

Bonus is the built-in blue bag for distributing/acquiring candy and whatnot.

charcuterie board: admittedly, I did purchase the charcuterie board "suit" from Target for like $7.99 after halloween, but the baguette got eaten, and the "beret" was made out of a headband, a paper plate, grapes with toothpicks stuck in them with little pieces of cork on the end to make them stay. I will absolutely be repurposing the charcuterie board, but you could totally make one of out poster board.

Play Dead: I bought this in college to do zombie makeup and have used it (and replaced it) many times. It takes the color out of your skin just enough, but since it’s not face paint it’s easy to get off and didn’t irritate my skin. Take the color out of your face, contour with grey black or brown and make some dark circles under your eyes. Wear whatever. Last year i was someone that worked themselves to death - wore a suit and carried a mug.
