Viet Noodle: i'm obsessed with their chicken pho (number 11). it's def whitewashed vietnamese, but it's perfect for an upset stomach when you need something simple. i ordered it nearly everyday for two weeks after a breakup.

Golden Deli Phở: Might be showing off my NELA privilege here with being able to order delivery from SGV but San Gabriel's Golden Deli is the business. Probably the best Vietnamese north of Garden Grove? Either way, incredible menu across the board and spectacular phở — balanced broth, al dente noodles. Tip top tummy ache cuisine.

Red Ribbon’s Arroz Caldo: Extremely hearty, ginger-forward and perfectly garlicky (which I’m told are anti-inflammatory, even if I don’t know what they un-inflame). A Filipino panacea.
