Right? Whatever happened to being? Can’t we just…be?

Totally, I hate getting into a “who ate the bigger shit sandwich” contest with my husband.

Reminds me of my own grandfather - 94 years old, still living independently (with help) - who lived his entire life in the same fashion. Eats peanut butter and ice cream nearly everyday, still enjoys a beer or 2 at Christmastime, and thinks an empty margarine container is perfectly acceptable, microwave safe!😬!, food storage. He didn’t eat organic, never lifted a weight, but always did - and still does - delight in human connections, helping others, and simply living life! I truly believe this was - and continues to be — the key to his longevity.

These are the stories of longevity that I love! Your grandfather sounds so sweet, and I’ll be taking a page out of his rulebook with a bowl of ice cream tonight.
