8.12.2026 The first of what I hope to be a daily practice in appreciation/recommendation/gratitude? We'll see! This Liz Phair album somehow becomes more relevant every year it exists. It is perennially current, and it is the mold that Olivia Rodrigo and Charli's new albums are working from. While I love what our new pop queens are branching out into, there is nothing that will ever beat the original. It is no skips, it is angry and horny and joyful and liberating, and it is meant to be played blasting with the windows down as you hit the highway through the final huff of Summer air.
