fake nails from cvs to make it 24 hours without picking my skin

I worked with my therapist recently on applying dbt and mindfulness in attempt to manage skin picking which has been battle since middle school, nothings ever helped. little did he know he should’ve prescribed me fake nails. rx manicure This is my face and press on nails like 36 hours after applying them. My chest back scalp also I am unable to keep tearing up with my long sassy chic nails. I feel completely off balance with them and like I can’t do anything but I do feel like the trade off is worth it for me to not feel drenched in self-loathing as I do every time I glance at my reflection when i am being picky. It feels like a jump start so that my skin has a moment to settle and the mindfulness techniques and urge surfing may have a fighting chance. note that I am terrified every time I pick up dog poop that my nails will puncture the bag but this hasn’t happened yet.

People pleasers, over apologizers, ppl who always date addicts for some reason, have compulsive behaviors, over functioners, under functioners, compulsive care takers of others at their own expense, people who make themselves small, need control, need to be perfect, ppl who’s inner critic is the loudest voice in their head …. Adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families - I rec finding a meeting if you resonate with any or all of the laundry list of traits of adult children, shop around until you find a meeting that fits you. I went to a handful before finding mine, and the first I left feeling down n like I’d never share bc the group felt wrong or I didn’t belong. Can be easy to get discouraged, start w finding a meeting u like and go 6 times before writing it off. for me the loving parent guidebook meeting n an ACA 12 step one I found more fitting for my needs than big red book meeting.

Being Warm in the Cold
Layering. Layers/sweaters of various natural fibers, especially merino wool, instead of winter coat

For a while i thought i hated winter. I love winter, i was just dressing wrong. Base layer, mid layer, outer layer. you can do cotton sure, but i love going full wool. Wool under layers, a thin merino. Hat, socks, Uggs too! whatever. merino cashmere or otherwise. gloves, mittens, scarves. head. to. toe. Merino especially. I loooove wool. Sheep are amazing

having Vacuums of all sizes

Really a canister vac of any will do but I love my Miele. My parents got one as a wedding gift and it outlasted their marriage. Still in use today also, i love a handheld and a medium-sized one too. i have a shark handvac and a handmedown dyson v8 i think it is... i love my vacuum trio
