Shower songs
•••
I love having a song that lasts the length of my shower routine — no having to navigate my screen with slippery, sudsy fingers. And since it usually lasts 10-20min you can really get into enjoying each part of the epic you’ve chosen. These songs also tend to build to a massive crescendo and it’s a crazy energizing / empowering feeling to step out the shower all clean and having the music on 10!!! I have one for each season: Spring - Thoroughfare (Ethel Cain) Summer - Terrapin Station Medley (Grateful Dead) Fall - Duk Koo Kim (Sun Kil Moon) Winter - Dogs (Pink Floyd)

Smog / Bill Callahan’s music
•••
Discovered his music this spring and haven’t turned it off since. His sound is melancholic, humorous, nostalgic, and simple all at once. Our Anniversary will probably be my most listened to song of the year.
