If you’re looking for a European summer destination beyond the usual spots, Mallorca is the recommendation I give again and again. Whenever Americans ask me why Germans are so obsessed with Mallorca, my answer is simple: go once and you’ll understand. Beautiful beaches, charming towns, great food, crystal-clear water, and a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle—what’s not to love? I’ve been there several times, including my graduation trip after high school, and it never disappoints.

I wasn’t expecting a hot dog stand to become one of my favorite food memories from Denmark, but here we are. DØP serves 100% organic hot dogs, and somehow they manage to be both simple and incredibly delicious. The best part? There are several DØP stands throughout Copenhagen, so you’re never too far from one.

I’m a little biased because I’m getting married there this summer, but I would recommend it even if I weren’t. You get beautiful architecture, Roman history, charming streets, and incredible food. Then again, it’s pretty hard to eat badly in Italy. I can’t wait to go back!! 🇮🇹
