It has come to my attention that I need a cool raincoat after galavanting around Scotland. I’ve seen UK girlies with patterned and colorful raincoats and trenches. What are your recs? Where do I look?

Seasalt Cornwall Women's Waterproof Jackets: I own 3 Seasalt rain jackets. A colorful patterned packable one for travel, a general one for the rest of the year, and a warm winter weight one for when it gets cold. They last for years, and they’re relatively breathable and stylish. I always buy them on sale.

Stutterheim Raincoats: I got mine on sale and I get lots of compliments every time I’ve worn it. It’s a heavy duty raincoat and will keep you dry and stylish! The only downside is that it can be a bit warm, which is FANTASTIC when it’s chilly out but makes it less useful during the summer.

Rains Rain Jacket: Doesn’t necessarily fit the colorful or patterned vibe but these are so well designed and really made to last. Just replaced one that I’d had for about 7 years. My Scottish husband is also a fan so it truly gets the seal of approval!

Dryrobes: The Brits love their dryrobes right now - basically an outerwear bathrobe for post-sea swimming that’s been co-opted by Londonites for running errands.

I don’t have one myself but have borrowed one, and … tbh they’re pretty great.
