The Sandlot
•••
This kept popping up on “must watch with your kids,” lists. With the exception of Home Alone, my children, sadly, have not been that impressed with my childhood movies. I was a young teen when The Sandlot came out, so I’d never seen it (too wholesome for 13 year old me). I’m happy to report that we all LOVED this. Real belly laughs and a happy ending, all very hard to come by in movies these days. I can’t wait to watch it again.

Not Great, Bob!
•••
Ask me how many “not great Bob,” on old-school NYC takeout coffee cup stickers I have (I’d recommend but the Etsy shop I got them from is gone ☹️).

The Testament of Ann Lee
•••
It’s painterly, beautiful, ecstatic, and it works as a musical because that’s what it demands. It’s not a gimmick.

If Beaches was a mob movie. I’ve never seen an examination of male friendship quite like this.

Mad Men's Relevance in 2025

Don’t ask me for tv show recommendations because all I do is rewatch Mad Men.
