If you’ve never seen Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, or Harold Lloyd, these are some good ones. (I would start with Chaplin or Keaton, then Lloyd later—he’s enjoyable but I wouldn’t put him on quite the same level as the first two.) They’re relatively short (an hour to an hour and a half, and Sherlock Jr. is only 45 minutes), and many of them are now in the public domain and available to watch on YouTube and elsewhere. Even my kids like them!
