Hidden gem in the Marais, tucked away on a quiet street. Recommend a hojicha latte and to chill in between shopping or the hustle & bustle of the hood.

Wow, the roasted chicken on a Sunday is the best way to start your day. I had heard about this famous chicken for years and now I know why. Mind blowing delicious with the fries. Everything was good here, the dessert, the vibe, the service. Highly recommend.

Chai latte with almond butter - addictive and you won’t be able to stop thinking about it. I went back as much as I could and tried to recreate it at home.

There is a reason why it impossible to get a reservation here - the food is delicious, vibe is fun and it is sooo French. Steak au poivre with french fries, deviled eggs and crème brûlée - yes please. * Need a res, ask your hotel to call them nonstop until they pick up

All I have to say is get the JUMBO SHRIMPS - have not stopped thinking about that dish. The chicken is great, plantains yes. The dessert was good, but it is truly about the jumbo shrimps with the fluffy flavorful rice. Reservation necessary *

Vietnamese food in Paris makes my heart swoon. This is a place I discovered 2 years ago and I go back every time. You need to make a res for lunch or dinner because there is a line as soon as it opens. It is a cute establishment and the pho and springs rolls are everything. I’m sure anything you get is but I get the usual…

I love this bistrot - great food and lightening. It is a bit touristy, everyone is speaking English, but I still really enjoyed the dinner, from appetizers to the dessert.

Get the chocolate pistachio escargot!! It’s my favorite. Most beautiful traditional bakery in Paris, inside and out, feels magical. The coffee is ok but you can forgive them because it’s really about the pastries.

We tried to go to Les Arlots and since they were booked, the owner took us next door to his wine bar. The best discovery, so FUN, surrounded by all locals eating small delicious plates with beer or wine. Everyone is in good mood chilling after work and catching up with friends while we soaked it all in. No reservations but you may not get in if they are packed.

Cafe Breizh

There are everywhere now but our favorite one is in the Marais, the original location. The crepes are PERFECT, savory and sweet, get both. As well as the cider, fruit wine. There will be a line for lunch, goes pretty fast, or you can make a res for dinner. I’ll go on my first night arriving Paris so I get a simple light meal and pass out by 9, after taking a sleeping pill from the French pharmacy that I picked up on my way to the restaurant haha

I love coming here to see their edited selection of Prada, CDG, etc and curated sneakers, some are collabs. Grab a coffee from the Broken Arm window next door where they also showcase books, random gifts and school supplies.

Low key, solid Japanese restaurant with small bites and soba. You can’t go wrong here. Eggplant with miso is excellent but then again, everything is. Tip : get there at 6:45 to stand in the queue for first seating at 7.

My fave bakery - it is also down the street from where we normally stay in the 9th (highly recommend staying around the 9th because you are in the middle and can get to any other neighborhood pretty easily). Anyway, back to Mamiche - everything is good here, pastries, sandwiches, cookies. There will be a line, be patient and wait because it is worth it.

Mokonuts
•••
Without fail, the one spot I will always go for lunch in paris is Mokonuts. The food, the owners and beautiful vibe make it so special. Order everything that is on the (seasonal and tiny) menu including the desserts. They are famous for their cookies. I love it here and recommend it to anyone asking where to go in Paris. * Reservation necessary, a month in advance via their website
