Kiki's Delivery Service (1989)
•••
Absurdly charming. Kiki is a young girl who leaves home to find herself as a witch and winds up running deliveries for a bakery. Full of unrequested kindness, visual magic, and endearing dialogue.

Eephus (2024)
•••
If watching "The Pitt" is like trying to navigate a life-raft through a hurricane, Eephus is like biking across a flat boardwalk on a sunny day with a tailwind. The entirety of Eephus is about some old guys who don't want to stop playing baseball. There isn't really any meaningful conflict in Eephus: none of our characters will grow or change, and many probably will forget the events of this movie. But, there is something about it, especially if you grew up in suburbia, that is endearing and worth watching.
