There are five kinds of good movie theaters, in my book: indie arthouse (big or European city), glitzy mid-century film palace (European big city), outdoor/rooftop/garden showing (indie city) small-town main-street historic (rural America), and the drive-in (also rural, but a different rural). Pairs well with ice cream.
