Elbow Bread Pickled Pepper Garlic Bread Bialy

Everything at Elbow Bread is textbook Kendall Roy "all bangers, all the time," but this bialy is a true standout. Slightly spicy, with the perfect amount of chew and loads of garlic. Their menu changes a lot, so no promises, but worst case scenario you can choose literally anything else on the menu and have the time of your life.

Making art with friends and not worrying about being good

I've been sharing the gospel of Happy Medium since it opened in the LES in 2021. Sure, you could (and should!) make art by yourself, but the power of being in a room with a bunch of people just being creative for the hell of it is healing AF. Their workshops are especially good for getting out of your head and trying something new.

I discovered Medik8 from the rec of friend with gorgeous skin. Calling out the Crystal Retinal here, but so far I've tried (and repurchased!) the vitamin C serum, liquid peptides, and Press & Glow exfoliating tonic and would vouch for all. They are a little pricy, but actually WORK — so, worth it in my book.
