Arcadia Books

My favorite bookstore. Maybe anywhere. This shop is curated beautifully—it is small but mighty. The cookbook, drama+poetry, and children’s book sections are real standouts…but it’s impossible to pick a favorite section. Chat with the remarkable staff here to get incredible recs—they won’t let you down.

Wisconsin Riverside Resort

You may hear it called “Bob’s” by the locals—this is my favorite spot to spend a day on the river. Rent kayaks or canoes, or float if that’s your style. They’ll take you upriver (with various lengths and time commitments), drop you and your vessel off, and you’ll spend the day making your way back. Once returned, grab a burger and Spotted Cow on the patio overlooking the water.

Everything you could possibly want to host and entertain. Browse the curated selection of gorgeous wines while you sip an espresso, check out the assorted pastas, tinned fish, cookbooks, gifts, and more. I’m always inspired here. Pro-tip: check the Instagram for wine nights and cocktail nights in the basement bar, or grab a glass of wine and enjoy the tables out back.

Wilson Creek Pottery

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this pottery. I always visit their shop in Spring Green, WI. These were the dishes on our wedding registry. We have Farmhouse White plates and bowls, along with large bowls we use for pho or salads in Harvest Gold (a favorite colorway), and we hope to own a second set of dishes in Pot Kettle Black some day (food looks AMAZING on this colorway). Give them a call to get ordering info, or visit in person if you’re in the area. These gals are incredible. Also—because they’re ceramic, they can be put in the dishwasher, microwave or oven, they’re one-of-a-kind, and so so beautiful.
