“Unless you're hosting an offsite for a company or leadership team of >200 people, The Betsy is the only place we'd recommend in the figuratively and literally hotter than hot Miami. Miami was for years the East Coast office equivalent of the West Coast's Palm Springs, except now chances are your East Coast company has at least a temporary presence in South Florida — if not a full fledged office. That being said, Miami, especially when compared to Palm Springs, is seriously lacking in the boutique hotel department. The Betsy sticks out like a thumb for being independently operated, understatedly beautiful, having great non-sceney dining options and hosting live jazz. Perfect pool, amazing art collection, fantastic service — this is a place that 'gets' Miami without embodying the worst stereotypes non-Miamians have about the city.”
