“A hilarious, female-centric comedy series out of the UK. I just love everything about this show, including the theme song (a fantastic cover of The Kinks "We are the Village Green Preservation Society" by Kate Rusby). It's a cozy comedy to enjoy anytime but fall feels right.
Set in a Devon village, grieving widow Sal Vine searches for purpose after her doctor husband dies unexpectedly. No longer a nurse at her husband's practice, she decides to join the local Women's Guild, helmed by overzealous Eileen. Sal quickly realizes the guild has a bevvy of eccentric, lively characters and immerses herself completely into this new world.
Known as Clatterford in America, I found this gem on DVD at my library. Maybe you can, too. You won't regret it!”
